In today’s society, museums and galleries are more relevant than they have ever been. In essence, museums have evolved from exclusive repositories of curated collections to inclusive, dynamic spaces that cater to a broad and diverse audience. They are hubs of education and culture oriented to create multidisciplinary spaces, integrating art, science, history and technology. Moreover, museums stimulate curiosity, a sense of wonder, that inspires and unleashes new ideas helping with professional and personal growth.
We designed this course for teachers to experience a completely different learning environment that lets them develop creativity and critical thinking, analytical, observation and problem-solving skills.
The participants will also explore how museum methods and pedagogies can help with their everyday curricular or extracurricular activities. With our excellent teacher trainers, the participants will visit museum exhibitions and take part in various workshops that align with social and natural science subjects as well as new technologies.
This will include a visit to the Museum of Ancient Glass, the Archeological Museum, non-typical living museums of the Old Town, The Museum of Nin antiquities, the National Museum of Zadar, and the magnificent multisensory open-air experience at the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.
Furthermore, in an informal environment, participants will have the chance to forge meaningful connections with colleagues from across Europe and familiarize themselves with Croatian local traditions, cultural heritage and natural beauties.
By the end of the course, the participants will gain a comprehensive and innovative toolkit to enrich their educational practices and help students learn better and think bigger.
Museums provide an ideal environment for fostering collaboration and community engagement. In this course, participants will explore how to use museum-based learning to promote teamwork, both within the classroom and beyond. By participating in group discussions, hands-on projects, and collaborative activities, educators will learn how to harness the power of shared experiences to engage students and create an interactive learning environment. Museums also offer the unique opportunity to connect with local communities, making them an excellent tool for enhancing social responsibility and citizenship in education.
EXCELLENT Based on 425 reviews Posted on Špela MARGANTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had our first Erasmus+ Course, we spent a wonderful week in Split. Our coaches Dario and Ivana prepared great courses with their team. They encouraged us to be involved in all the activities. The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and full of funny moments. We laughed a lot. Dario and Ivana also gave us good advices on what to do in our free time to enjoy the scenery of beautiful Split and local specialities. Besides classes we loved meeting new people from all over the Europe. We made new friends and did some plans for further cooperations. Thank you for everything, it certanly wasn't the last Erasmus+ Course we attended.
