Course Description

Experience a hands-on approach to learning and connect with the local way of life in Dalmatia region

Participants of this Erasmus+ teacher training course will get the chance to explore the history and traditions of key sites and monuments in Zadar, Croatia. The program includes visits to significant locations, offering hands-on experiences and engagement in various interactive and project-based activities, both outdoors and on-site.

Our best teacher trainers will lead participants on an experiential learning adventure, covering various sights like the Roman Forum, Old Town, St. Donatus church, Kalelarga Street, Archaeological Museum, and Museum of Ancient Glass. The participants will also explore the historic town of Nin, just 14 km from Zadar, and enjoy a multisensory experience at the Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun.

The course also includes interactive workshops that let you explore your creative side and engage with traditional arts and crafts making, hands-on or by using digital tools. The workshops will cover various topics, that are problem-solving, project-based, mental health and critical thinking oriented.

Acquire the tools and methods for integrating cultural heritage into your classroom

Through sightseeing tours, lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops, the participants will broaden their collaboration skills, knowledge, and experiential approach to learning.
As a result, participants will know how to raise awareness of the importance of all cultural areas, strengthen the sense of European identity and diversity, and last but not least, promote social inclusion, and use this knowledge to create a healthy classroom of open-minded and ambitious young people!
Overall, the participants will increase their appreciation for cultural heritage and enrich their future travels and experiences, as well as develop a critical perspective on the relationship between cultural heritage and contemporary society.

Inspire a new generation to value cultural heritage

This course equips educators with innovative tools to inspire students to value and preserve cultural heritage. Participants will learn how to design creative lesson plans and activities that integrate local traditions, historical sites, and artistic expressions into the curriculum. By connecting students with their cultural roots and European diversity, teachers will encourage a sense of pride, respect, and responsibility for cultural preservation. This holistic approach fosters a classroom environment where heritage becomes a dynamic and engaging subject, linking the past with the present and empowering students to envision a more inclusive and culturally aware future.
